Fear and stress
If you are struggling with fear of any kind or feel really stressed, then this is for you.
Many things in our life can scare us and it's ok to feel frightened. You might be frightened about world events like terrorism or you might be scared by the memory of someone who hurt you. There are a zillion things out there that could cause you to feel fearful. We know that things can happen to rip the feeling of safety from you and life is never quite the same again.
But, it's not all right that you are suffering with fear, alone. No one should have to suffer from fear and this shouldn't be happening to you.
But there is an answer and getting over fear is very possible. Finding something that we can feel safe and secure with is the way out of this. Try to see that this is only a temporary feeling, getting skills to help is just a matter of talking with someone who can help.
Our emotions can be a most powerful aid to healing, like crying for example. Crying or laughing can release tension.
It makes no sense to continue thinking about what frightens us, this will only make the feeling of being scared worse. Fear can change as we change the thought that goes round and round in our head. So, start thinking positive thoughts instead of fearful ones.
Everyone becomes fearful at some stage in their life and it's completely normal to feel frightened. You might be depressed by this fear, and that's normal too.
Some people, especially young people, can become stuck inside fear itself but do you know there are people just waiting to help you?
